Canada as a country, has ten provinces and three territories. It is the 2nd largest country in the world after Russia (9.98 million square kilometres). Education System In Canada:

The degrees & diplomas from Canadian Institutions are among the most widely recognized in the world.

  • * Advanced Diploma: Is a 3 years program some of which may lead to a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • * Bachelor’s Degrees: 4 years of duration
  • * Post Graduate Diplomas / Certificates: It is 2 years of length.
  • * Master’s Degree: It is for 2 years duration and can be pursued after a 4 or 3 years of bachelors.
Currency of Canada :

The official currency of Canada is Canadian Dollar (CAD$). 1 CAD$ = Rs. 51.29/- (Approx. as on April 2016).

Geography & Climate :

Canada has four distinct seasons, although their arrival times vary across the country. The single most significant factor in climate is latitude.

Canada Admission Eligibility

Each university/colleges in Canada have specific entry requirement as per the courses from GPAs to IELTS score. Bachelors & Post graduate diploma : Minimum acceptable IELTS score is overall 6 bands & not less than 5.5 in each module. For bachelor 10+2 with 50%, Postgraduate diploma require 10+2+3 or 4 with 50%, Masters : University masters IELTS score should be 6.5 – 7.5 overall & academic 10+2+3 or 4.

Cost of Education & Living :

The cost of education in Canada is between CAD$13000-17000 for Undergraduate Courses and between CAD$ 13000-18000 for Post-Graduate Courses. The cost of living is approximately CAD$7000–10000 per year, this covers all the living expenses; including accommodation, food, travel, books, clothes and entertainment.

Intakes :

September and January are major intakes. Many SPP colleges offer April/May intakes as well.
